Billing Policy

Our practice is a mixed billing practice; Children who are under 16 yrs, patients who have a Health Care card/Pensioner or Veterans Affairs card are Bulk Billed. Please refer to our summary of fees displayed at the reception.


All payments must be made on the day of service by Cash, Eftpos or Cheque. For Workcover appointments, if you do not have a claim number at the time of your appointment, you will be required to pay for your consultation.


Please ring during office hours for an appointment. If you believe you will need a longer appointment, please advise staff at the time of booking. Long appointments will be needed for matters such as pap smears, insurance paperwork, procedures, skin checks, more than two issues to be discussed etc . Walk-ins are treated according to our triage policy.


For your safety and to protect your privacy, you need to see the Doctor to obtain these results. We put our maximum efforts to inform you about results. Please make an appointment within one week to having these results done, for a review of the results. For significant results you will be contacted by our reception.

Reminder System

Our practice participates in State and National reminder reminder system; please advise the reception staff if you do not wish to be a part of our recall system.

Our Privacy policy

Our medical records and any other information that we collect is kept strictly confidential and used only for your care. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. We follow Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and privacy policy manual is available at the reception, if you would like to have a read

Transfer of Medical Records

If you leave Moura and seek medical advice from another practice we are happy to transfer a photocopy of your records to your new doctor once a signed request form has been sent through. There is a fee of $5 per person or $20 per family to be paid prior to releasing the records.


Our Drs prefer to discuss your condition with you before referring you to a specialist. If you have previously seen a particular specialist for a continuing problem and need a repeat referral, please make an appointment.

Communication Policy

You can always contact your doctor by phone during surgery hours. A message will be taken when the Doctor concerned is with another patient. We shall return your call as soon as possible. In case of an emergency, your call will always be put through to the Doctor

Patient feedback

This practice invites patients to complete a patient survey on their views of the practice and how it could be improved. These surveys are completely confidential and will help us to improve our services. We take our concerns seriously.
